Have a pair of Gokey boat shoes I bought 10-12 years ago when they were owned by Orvis, and they almost need resoling. My wife said they looked like they had seen better days, so I decided to take advantage of the sale and order another pair. The new ones have a leather/cushioned insole that makes them a little more comfortable right out of the box. I have a narrow heel, but was able to cinch the shoe up around the back side of my foot without any problem. I’ve worn them around the house for a couple of days and they feel great. The leather is as thick as before, and has a less shiny, more casual look to it. The stitching and crafting of the shoe is top notch, and I expect these will last at least as long as the others. They advertise these as the world’s most durable boat shoe, and for my money the are. The other boat shoes I’ve had did not last more than 2-3 years, but these just keep going. I could probably clean up the old ones and give them a little shine and some folks would think they are the new ones. I also think it is pretty cool that the shoes include a card with the person’s signature that made the shoe. You won’t get that that from that “top selling” brand that are made overseas. Thank you Gokey for another great product made in the USA.

I have been through every make of boat shoes. They are marginally comfortable and the soles don’t last.
I recently purchased a pair of Gokey boat shoes. They are beyond a doubt the most comfortable and well made boat shoes I have ever worn. The soles are good on our decks and are vibram soles which I expect will out last all the others. Big thumbs up from me.

It took me two months of hard research before I finally came across Gokey’s boat shoes. Every other boat shoe out there always had at least one thing that I didn’t like about it. When I saw these boat shoes from Gokey, i knew my search was over! The features that drew me to these are: Made in USA, high quality water-resistant leather that is very thick, Vibram sole with a small heel, full leather midsole, the rubber sole is glued to the midsole instead of stitched directly to the leather upper (allows them to be rebuilt more times), the canoe moccasin extra layer of leather on the bottom/sides, Raw brass eyelets, removable insole, and of course excellent customer service! Stacy and Lexie answered all of my questions promptly and worked with me to get them shipped to me while I am stationed in Germany. When I received the shoes, the insole had a little too much cushion for my liking and they quickly sent me another set of insoles that were perfect. I now have the best pair of boat shoes that should last me a very long time and a great company that will stand behind them. Thank you Gokey!

Fits well. Only complaint is that it feels like there is a small piece of nylon filament in each shoe into the Achilles area. Tried to cut the line with fingernail clippers but still feel a sharp edge. I won’t be able to wear without socks until I find some glue or rubber cement to patch over the thread.

I bought these 40 years ago through Orvis and I still use them. Love the fit! I think I sent an outline of my feet to Gokey and they custom made the shoes for me. I’ve had to replace the laces and soles over the years. I don’t know what size they are. I’d like to buy another pair, same size. Also, this old pair need some stitching repair. Can I send them back to you? I can send you a photo of the shoes.
